FEATURED PROJECT: Help Launch the Huruma-Gatune Poultry Project
Fresh eggs for Huruma. An opportunity for the future.
We’re excited to launch the Huruma-Gatune Poultry Project, a multi-phase initiative designed to provide fresh, nutritious eggs for the children at Huruma Children’s Home while creating an opportunity to generate income for the home.
The project will begin with a pilot flock of 200 vaccinated laying hens. Eggs will first support meals at Huruma Children’s Home, helping replace a portion of eggs currently purchased from outside suppliers. When eggs are available beyond the home’s needs, excess eggs can be sold locally to create an additional source of income for Huruma.
OUR GOAL: $6,000

THE EXPERIENCE
NAIROBI | 3 NIGHTS
Visit Huruma Children's Home and Gatune Farm, connect with Kenyan partners, and participate in meaningful community and leadership experiences.
MAASAI MARA | 3 NIGHTS
Experience guided safari game drives, Kenya's landscapes and wildlife, and time for reflection and connection with fellow participants.
NAIROBI | 1 NIGHT
Close the experience with a final dinner, reflection, and time to prepare for the journey home.
YOUR $8,500 INVESTMENT INCLUDES
Accommodations, meals, in-country transportation and flights, Maasai Mara safari, cultural and community experiences, leadership facilitation, trip coordination, and a $1,000 contribution toward FMFM-supported projects.
